WHITEWATER RAFTING

Included in your Adventurefest package is a whitewater-rafting trip on the worldfamous Ocoee River. This section of river is 5.5 miles of nearly continuous whitewater with mind-boggling 22 rapids!

The Ocoee River is one of the most popular rafting rivers in the country for both veteran and novice whitewater enthusiasts. Only the Ocoee offers the most continuous stretch of Class III and IV rapids in the country.

The river plunges 269 feet over five miles, tumbling through a spectacular gorge in the Cherokee National Forest. Paddlers maneuver through crashing waves, around treacherous boulders and over steep ledges. With a professional guide in every raft, you’ll make it through the wild and wooly rapids.

There are 6 paddlers and 1 guide per raft. The Ocoee River is a challenging river and is suitable for most skill levels but you should evaluate your own fitness level before deciding if this trip is suitable for you.

***Participants must be in good health, be good swimmers and not be afraid of water. If you are seriously overweight or have special medical conditions, you should consult your physician before attempting a rafting trip. Tennessee law requires that all participants be at least 12 years old. Rafting trips are available Monday and Thursday. Transportation to and from the river is included. Checkin, safety talk, transportation and rafting takes about 3 ½ hours. ***

Bunkhouses are rustic! They include airconditioning, restrooms, and are equipped with a fridge, microwave, sink and outdoor charcoal grill and firepit. Bed linens and towels are NOT included, so please bring your own necessities.

Bedrooms each sleep 8 people so you can easily separate boys and girls. The small bunkhouse sleeps up to 16 people and the larger ones sleep up to 32. Minimum occupancy for any bunkhouse is 50%.
