What do you get when you combine outdoor adventures such as rafting, hiking, rock climbing, rappelling, & ropes course challenges with great Christian concerts, worship, fellowship, and fun?
We like to call it Adventure Fest 2008. This year we are at the Ocoee River. If you aren’t rafting, rock climbing or taking a Hike to Benton Falls, you might want to go swimming, or play a little volleyball. We have created a 3 night/4 day package full of adventures for you! We hope to see you at Adventure Fest 2008!

ADVENTURES:
To give you a taste of what the Ocoee areas have to offer, we arranged an adventure package which includes: one rafting trip on the Ocoee, one ropes course adventure or one rock climbing/rappelling adventure, hiking, swimming, paintball, use of the volleyball court and all Outpost amenities, an evening concert with a pizza blast, and an evening of praise and worship with a barbecue feast!

PAINTBALL
OAR is expanding again! How? Where? It’s paintball time! We have heard the call and are responding. That’s right, OAR now has paintball and we’ve bushwhacked our way into the hidden forest and set our claim. So come join us in the woods for some extreme paintball. Your group will love it. OAR will provide the gun, mask and paint. You need to bring old clothes and courage.

RAFTING THE MIDDLE SECTION OF THE OCOEE
The Ocoee River is one of the most popular rafting rivers in the country for both veteran and novice whitewater enthusiasts. Only the Ocoee offers the most continuous stretch of Class III-IV rapids in the country. The riverís whitewater plunges 269 feet over five miles, tumbling through a spectacular gorge in the Cherokee National Forest. Paddlers maneuver through crashing waves, around treacherous boulders and over steep ledges. With a professional guide, youíll make it through the wild and woolly rapids. There are 6 paddlers and 1 guide per raft. The Ocoee River is a challenging river and is suitable for most skill levels, but you should evaluate your own fitness level when determining if the trip is suitable for you.

Participants must be in good health, be good swimmers and not be afraid of water. If you are seriously overweight or have special medical conditions, you should consult your physician before attempting a rafting trip. Tennessee law requires that all Ocoee River rafters be at least 12 years of age. Rafting trips go out on Sunday afternoon; several times on Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday mornings from the Outpost. (Saturday morning rafting is an additional $10.00.) Transportation to and from the River is included. Checkin, safety talk, transportation and the rafting takes about 4 hours.
